A recent study by the National Stroke Association showed that 1 out of 3 Americans could not identify a single symptom of a person having a stroke. That is 33% of all people! What a dismal thought that if the person you loved were having a stroke, you might not even realize it and call for help. To help everyone know what to look for, the word needs to get out. It is vital that you recognize the symptoms and get help immediately.

First of all, the symptoms of a stroke come on suddenly. Note, the symptoms for men and women may be different and one symptom is not necessarily a stroke, but when combined with several of the others, it could be a good indication. So, consider the following symptoms for both men and women.

•	Loss of balance and coordination, trouble walking and dizziness.

•	Quick onslaught of a headache with no good reason.

•	Face, arm or leg suddenly goes numb or weak.

•	Unexplained sudden trouble speaking, understanding or confusion.

•	Trouble seeing out of one or both eyes.

It is imperative for survival that a stroke victim be treated immediately. It becomes a matter of minutes making a difference as sometimes treatments that are most effective can only be administered in the first 3 hours after symptoms appear.

An acronym to help people recognize the symptoms of strokes is labeled as FAST. First Look at the Face. Check to see if the person can smile and note if the face droops on one side. Next, check the Arms. Ask the person to raise both arms and see if one of the arms droops downward. Then, you have the Speech.

Have the victim repeat an easy sentence and listen for slurred speech and note if the sentence was repeated correctly. Lastly, is Time. If you note any of the above symptoms, call 911 immediately or rush the person to the hospital immediately. Time is of the essence as the brain cells are dying as you wait.

By educating yourself and your loved ones on these symptoms, you could potentially be saving their lives or even your own. Take the time to memorize these symptoms and the FAST things to look for and it could be possible to reverse the stroke itself if treated soon enough.

Wheel is one of the most important things in your car. It serves the same role as legs in human life. Imagine that you don’t have legs; that is how actually your car without wheels. Just ordinary wheels and tires sometimes are not enough. Having lame wheel and tire is just the same as don’t have any wheel and tire. That is why there is quotation that says great car has great wheels. Due to this fact many people upgrade their wheels. It is pretty common in car modification. You can see that most of the modified cars have wheel modification.

You can check it in all car competition; especially those that compete for the best look. They will have magnificent wheel and tire. Not only that; those who are competing in race also must have great wheels and tires. Without that, winning would be just a dream. That is why we suggest you to have tire and wheel as soon as possible, because with just normal wheel and tire you will look really lame. At least if you are not that wonderful, please let your car enjoy every attention it may need, of course with reasonable budget.

Hair Culture

Hairs spring from the skin, each having a root and a stem or shaft, which is generally rounded and varies and thickness. The chief part of the stem is of a fibrous character, the fibres being composed of soft cells with air spaces between them. The colour of the hair is due to the pigment scattered in varying amounts throughout the hair, while a white hair is produced by the formation of very numerous airspaces throughout the cells composing it. The root of the hair is set upon a fibrous papilla, from which it drives its nutriment. The root is deep and the growing part of the hair pushes the older part out through the cuticle.

The average rate of growth of hair is about 6 inches in a year, though in some persons when the hair reaches a certain length, it ceases to grow and is gradually pushed upwards till it falls out, to be replaced by a new hair which develops from a fresh papilla. Attached to the underside of each, follicle (the tube which contains the part of the hair embedded in the skin) is a small muscle. It is these muscles, which produce 'goose-flesh' when the hairs are raised. The sebaceous glands open into the follicles of the hair. It is the over active sebaceous glands which produce what fashion-conscious women call greasy hair. The secretion of the sebaceous glands reaches the surface by the hair follicle and serves to lubricate the hair and give pliability to the surface of the skin.

Blood, while it circulates through the skin, provides nutriment to the hair and if due to some defect the nutriment does not reach them, they start falling. No application of any oil or pomade or cream can provide the natural nutriment to the hair as is claimed by advertisements of hair-restorers. Only a vigorous massage of the head can activate the circulation of the blood in the skin and revitalize its function of providing the necessary nutriment to sustain the hair. Oil is merely a vehicle for massage; it has no other function. If massage is not neglected during childhood, a person is likely to have a full thatch throughout his life.

The skin that covers the scalp has to be healthy and the follicles and the sebaceous glands should function properly. The skin of the scalp must be thick and loose for a rich growth of hair.

Diseases

Certain serious diseases are associated with partial loss of hair as one of their symptoms. They are: acute fevers, myxoedema (degenerative conditions of the subcutaneous and connective tissues due to a defect in the thyroid gland), syphilis, influenza, anemia and great anxiety or severe shock. Gradual premature baldness is generally hereditary. Sometimes it is preceded by dandruff, which, in its turn, is caused by decomposition of the natural oil in the hair. Each day in the process of combing, a certain number of hair, which have reached the end of their existence, fall out and are replaced. But, if the changes are too rapid, baldness results ultimately.

Falling of Hair

In some cases, if the hair fall out as a result of any particular disease, they are likely to be replaced when the patient gets rid of the disease. The hair may, in that sense, be called a barometer of disease. The moment the falling of the hair is noticed, one should take to vigorous massage of the scalp, because, if the hair fall and a fine down appear on the scalp, total baldness is not far away.

The hatband or the cap should never be tight because it is likely to interfere with the circulation of the blood in the scalp.

After the scalp has been thoroughly and vigorously massaged, rinse the hair with cold water and then comb your hair. A cold douche of the hair is always helpful if done regularly. The best way to do it is to immerse your head in a flat-bottomed vessel for a minute. The hair should be combed with the fingers and dried through massage.

For more information regarding Natural Home Remedies for Hair Care, Herbal Remedy and Natural Home Remedies for Dandruff, Herbal Remedy visit http://www.natural-homeremedies.com

The back pain complex, to include neck pain, back pain and sciatica, is one of the most common complaints among mothers-to-be during pregnancy. The spine is made up of two primary and two secondary curvatures. The secondary curvature of the lumbar region is most affected during pregnancy. The lumbar curvature, established after birth and responsible for our ability to walk upright, comes under tremendous pressure during pregnancy. Back pain is quite common during pregnancy with as many as 80% of all women experiencing neck pain, back pain and/or sciatica in varying degrees. The back pain complex is expressed from mild to acute and may become chronic if not properly addressed. We will discuss some of the reasons why back pain is so prevalent during pregnancy and offer a few solutions, as well.

While women with previous back problems are at greater risk for neck pain, back pain and sciatica, it is common among all women beginning as early as two months and continuing through, and well after, the completion of the pregnancy. During pregnancy the body produces a number of hormones, some in much higher quantities than typically found. One of the principal hormones having the most dramatic impact during pregnancy is called Relaxin. Relaxin's function it is to make the ligaments associated with birth, and the pelvis aperture itself, softer and more pliable. The reasons for this are obvious, it is vitally important for the baby, particularly the baby's cranium or skull, to be able to pass through the birth canal with relative ease, Relaxin makes this possible. Additionally, as the uterus grows and weight shifts forward, the center of gravity changes and the relaxation of the uterine ligaments impacts the spine and the surrounding musculature. The core muscles, to include key abdominal muscles, spinal muscles, and para-vertebral muscles, are also stretched and taxed beyond normal capabilities. The combination of hormonal and structural factors often contribute to varying degrees of neck pain, back pain, and sciatica.

Obesity, always a significant factor in diagnosing and treating the back pain complex, becomes an even greater issue during pregnancy. Normal weight gain, not to be confused with obesity, may also negatively affect mothers-to-be. The combination of an exaggerated spinal curvature, called lordosis in the lumbar region, a shift in the center of gravity, additional weight carried forward, and a weaker core muscle complex are also contributory factors. The core muscles, as well as other synergistic muscle groups, may be strengthened through a program of exercise and stretching. It must be recognized that back pain during pregnancy is the rule rather than the exception, the challenge is to deal effectively with the underlying cause or causes with an intelligent and individualized treatment program.

Two of the most common back pain expressions during pregnancy, are lumbar pain, centered primarily in the lower back, and posterior pelvic pain, with symptoms very much like those associated with sciatica. The low back or lumbar pain is generally centered in the lower back and may radiate unilaterally, one side, or bilaterally, both sides, across the iliac crest, which is the region to each side of the spine at the upper level of the pelvis. Once again, pain may range from mild to acute and grow increasingly intense the deeper into the pregnancy the mother-to-be is. Back pain in this region is exacerbated by extended periods of standing, particularly in one place, sitting for long periods of time, and by poor posture, as in the old military idea of "stomach and chest out" which simply does not work for obvious reasons. Posterior pelvic pain can be quite severe and may be four to five times more prevalent than any other back pain expression during pregnancy. Posterior pelvic pain, as noted above, may be indistinguishable in its expression from sciatica. Pelvic pain may be felt as a deep ache or even a burning sensation, may radiate across the buttocks and into the legs, unilaterally or bilaterally, and in its worst configuration or state may also be felt in the feet and toes, very much like sciatica. The biggest distinction between posterior pelvic pain and sciatica is that posterior pelvic pain is more commonly experienced bilaterally. Sciatica, on the other hand, is generally a unilateral expression affecting the buttocks, legs, feet, and toes.

While quite common, neck pain, back pain and/or sciatica, including posterior pelvic pain, should not be taken lightly. If the back pain complex is not addressed properly, it may have negative consequences throughout the pregnancy and felt in virtually every aspect of the new mom's life. It is not uncommon for women who experience severe back pain throughout the pregnancy to continue to have problems well into the post partum period. Pregnancy can be, and usually is, a wonderful time in both the family's life and in the life of the mother-to-be. However, if back pain is not addressed it may have a negative impact during and afterwards, in some cases for years after the pregnancy.

As noted above, there may be a myriad of causes and consequences associated with the back pain complex, as it relates to pregnancy. An intelligent, individualized, and medically supervised program of exercise and stretching is not only advisable it is absolutely necessary. Certain exercises, such as the pelvic tilt and crunches, at least until the latter stages of the pregnancy, may be appropriate and advisable. However, it is usually the case that such self-treatment programs of exercise are not only misguided but fail to achieve any real and lasting relief or benefit. Additionally, because of the shift in the center of gravity and the exacerbated lumbar curvature, a complete program focusing on the core muscles may be the best approach. Improper posture, standing for long periods of time, sitting for long periods, and even remaining inactive for extended periods of time may have a negative impact, ultimately leading to even greater pain. Finally, it is advisable for pregnant women, particularly those who work deep into the pregnancy or have other children, to take special care when lifting anything heavy. Because of the number of physiological and anatomical changes that take place during pregnancy, a program that seeks to strengthen the musculature and to improve endurance, so fatigue doesn't lead to other problems and injuries, should be initiated as soon as possible. Only through a comprehensive program of treatment and exercise can a prospective mom hope alleviate or eliminate neck pain, back pain, and sciatica.

Health insurance doesn't have to be about a full, comprehensive policy. Sometimes, a policy that covers the possibility of an accident or major surgery is all that we really need. With catastrophic insurance coverage you can get this important coverage without the high premiums sometimes associated with regular health insurance policies.

Catastrophic insurance plans (also called major medical plans) do not cover any expenses related to preventative care, minor wound care, or any kind of health monitoring service. Instead, they cover some of the expenses associated with major, catastrophic illnesses and accidents. If you are sent to emergency room, it is likely that much of that expense will be covered by your catastrophic policy. Other expenses covered include hospital expenses like room, board and incidentals, surgical expenses, and physician expenses.

Like any insurance policy, catastrophic plans have limits and deductibles. You will be required to pay the deductible amount out of pocket, then the insurance company will step in and pay their portion of your expenses, up to the limit.

Because the insurable incidents covered by catastrophic plans are so limited, the premiums tend to be low and widely affordable. As with any policy, choosing a high deductible and low limit further limits the risk of expense to the insurance company and will result in even lower rates-but as with any insurance policy, consumers must make sure that they choose a deductible they can afford and a limit that is reasonable and still offers a relevant benefit.

Catastrophic policies are not for everyone. If you have a chronic illness or injury, a catastrophic policy can step in when a major medical incident occurs, but will not give you the day-to-day and preventative coverage that you may need in order to live a long and healthy life. But if you are unable to secure a regular health insurance policy and don't yet qualify to join the high risk pool for your state, then it may be a helpful alternative.

Appendicitis refers to inflammation, enlargement and in many cases bacterial infection of the vermiform appendix. This small tubular organ is the extension of the cecum, and it is believed to have a role in the process of digestion. When this worm-like organ is obstructed by calculus or feces, it becomes swollen and inflamed. When the inflammation is accompanied by bacterial infections, the progression of the disease is accelerated and the vermiform appendix quickly seizes to function. In the absence of an appropriate medical treatment, appendicitis can lead to serious complications such as perforation of the appendix, sepsis (severe bacterial infection) and abcess.

Appendicitis is known to be a surgical disease and its treatment commonly requires appendectomy. Appendectomy is a simple medical procedure that involves the removal of the diseased appendix from the body. Nowadays, appendectomy is considered to be a safe and reliable surgical procedure, and the risks of post-operative complications are minimal.

Unlike grown ups, young children and babies need special medical and parental care before and after surgery. If appendicitis involves bacterial infection, young patients are commonly administered antibiotics before and after appendectomy. Prior to surgery, children should also follow a strict food regimen, aimed at minimizing the risks of complications. Such regimens include soft, non-irritant foods and well-tolerated beverages.

After surgery, young patients need to remain hospitalized for at least a few more days. During this period, children will be kept under permanent medical monitoring and they will receive post-operative medical treatments in order to speed up their recovery. Children are usually not allowed to eat or drink right after surgery. In order to avoid dehydration and to reduce pain, young patients should receive intravenous fluids and analgesics. Even if children experience post-surgery pain, doctors recommend that they should get out of bed and walk soon after the surgery. This way, the intestines will start functioning properly, speeding up the young patients' recovery.

Within the first week after surgery, children should only eat soft, non-irritant foods such as mashed potatoes, rice, soups and mashed fruits. You should avoid giving your child foods that can produce abdominal bloating and discomfort. In order to prevent post-operative anemia and asthenia, give your child vitamin and mineral supplements for at least one month. Also, make sure that your child gets enough rest.

After appendectomy, young patients shouldn't be allowed to sustain intense physical effort for around 2 months. However, simple recuperative gymnastics can speed up the process of recovery and older children should be encouraged to participate in non-intense physical activities. This way your child will maintain a good muscle tonus and a strong immune system.

I was an orphan and when I was a child, I lived with my grandmother. My grandmother has raised me up to now. I am 18 years old and I have started looking for work to for our living because my grandmother is very old now and no longer fit to do work. I wish my grandma is always healthy and accompany me every day. I realize that my grandmother is very old to continue to have a healthy body and I am sure that the elderly would certainly have health problems.

When I realized it, I started searching online cheap life insurance. I have gained the news that life insurance can minimize the cost of treatment which is expensive. Because I am just an ordinary girl who is living in affluent, I decided to take life insurance for my grandmother. At least, I do not need to care about the cost again if my grandma is sick or must stay in the hospital. I pick a long-term life insurance which has a validity period of all ages and I do not need another re-registration every month or in every year. With long-term insurance, I can give full treatment to my grandmother when she become ill.

Back pain is one of the most common and aggravating conditions in life and it takes a good daily regimen AND medicines to send it on its way. Luckily, these stretches and tips aren't difficult to follow and using your prescription will make it a breeze! Find pleasure in a peaceful routine.

Morning Stretches

Stretch-1: 5-10 times

Lie on your back with your knees bent so that your feet can rest flat on the floor.

Grip the underside of your thighs with your hands.

Pull your legs to your chest, or as close as you comfortably can.

Hold this stretch for 15 seconds before returning to a resting position.

Stretch-2: 10 times

Lie on your stomach, supporting your upper body with your elbows and forearms.

Stretch your elbows and arms so that your back is extended and stretching.

Hold at a gentle stretch for 15-20 seconds before returning to a rest.

Stretch-3: Once

Start the same as Stretch-1: flat on your back, legs bent with feet flat against the ground.

Lift your upper back off the ground using your abdominal muscles.

Hold for a long 10 seconds if you can, then gently lower yourself back down.

Stretch-4: Until tired

Sit in a chair, feet resting flat on the floor.

Bend the back and neck until your chest rests again your thighs.

Hold for 10 seconds before returning to the initial position. You should feel the stretch.

Good Posture

Posture might be the most important thing for backs. Short of walking around with a yard-stick in the back of your trousers, here is what you can do to fix your back.

When standing, hold your chest high, shoulders back (not tense), abs and butt tight, with your feet an even distance apart and sharing the weight. Your head should be looked straight ahead and your knees should never lock.

When sitting, rest your feet flat on the floor, back flat against the chair, chin tucked in a bit, shoulders relaxed, and back straight. Try to imagine a line shooting from your neck and head directly to the ceiling. It might help to cushion your lower back also.

What to Eat and Drink

There are some basic principles when deciding what to eat. High protein, high fiber, and high in minerals like magnesium, iron, and copper. With that in mind, here are some perfect foods for sufferers of back pain:

Avocados

Nuts, specifically Almonds and Pecans

Soy Beans and Tofu

Spinach, which is better for you cooked

You should also take a multivitamin.

Doing these stretches and taking good care of your back is really hard to do when your have near crippling pain preventing you from even thinking straight, never mind standing or sitting straight. That's why so many people turn to Carisoprodol to ease their pain. It's important to remember that you have to keep working at it once you're on Carisoprodol in order to keep back pain at bay. And take it easy. You can't be on Carisoprodol forever, but you can make your back feel at peace.

Television ads are always on the edge of the truth. Those that write the copy have to strike a balance. Their clients want a high sales trend following the ad campaign. "Tell 'em whatever you need to get them to buy", is the usual instruction. But there are these inconvenient Truth-in-Advertising Laws aimed at protecting those poor innocent consumers who might be taken in by all those lies. The idea is a simple one. Advertisers should not claim anything that cannot be substantiated. And in the background, the FTC is lurking, ready to pounce if the ads are considered deceptive. There can be expensive law suits and, worse, penalties if the ads are "unfair".

So can hair loss drugs beat heredity? As always, the answer needs a little explanation. It starts easily enough. No drug on the market can prevent you from losing hair. Your body is designed to shed hairs everyday. Under normal circumstances, they grow back. Worse, as we age, more hair will drop out. That's also unstoppable. So it does not look good for the drugs. Unlike heart disease where there are drugs to prevent the first symptoms from developing into the disease, nothing beats your body clock's determination to shed hairs every day as you age.

What's the genetic reality? As you probably know, men are XY and women are XX. When babies are made, each parent contributes half the genetic make-up of the child. Mothers can only give one of their X chromosomes so it's the man who decides on the sex of the baby by either contributing an X or Y chromosome. Because of the work to analyze genes, we now know the genes controlling hair loss come in the X chromosome. That means whether you get to lose your hair early is decided by your mother's family line. If there's a bald maternal grandfather hiding just out of focus in old photographs, that's probably going to be you.

How is this helping? Well, if you have the wrong genes, your hair follicles are going to react to the arrival of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by slowing down the growth of hair. What does grow will emerge thinner and more likely to fall out of the roots. That's why you start going bald. Hair that drops early tends not to regrow. DHT is produced in the adrenal gland and this is what keeps men male, i.e. it reinforces the usual male "characteristics". With the wrong genes, this triggers hair loss on the scalp - not the rest of the body. This is where Propecia comes in. It prevents your adrenal gland from manufacturing DHT out of "ordinary" testosterone. Without there being the same level of DHT in your bloodstream, your hair keeps on growing. So Propecia does not beat heredity. Rather it carefully gets round it and lets you keep your hair. This makes the advertising so clever. It's not unfair to claim a drug like Propecia can beat heredity. You beat someone or something by going around it. Winning is not always a battle to the death where one side batters the other into submission. Winning can be sneaky. That does not make the ads deceptive either. They are just elegantly playing with words to make you want to buy. Better still, the drug works so, if you buy, you are a winner!

While working in two urban school districts teaching students diagnosed with severe autism, I realized these children need more than educational programming. They need a therapeutic environment. Staffers need to have the knowledge and the resources not just to teach skills but also to relieve discomfort and improve neurological function. Movement, Auditory and visual processes, and sensory disturbances affect the ability to attend and learn. Most teachers are not adequately trained to deal with these complex neurological and central nervous system differences. Staffers who lacked appropriate training often confused these difficulties with cognitive or social dysfunction.

Creation of therapeutic and effective environments, demands staff education, collaboration between disciplinarians and change of criteria and delivery models. Experts in the fields of speech, occupational, physical, and vision therapy must work with teachers and parents to create a program specific for severe autism.

Selected personnel, appropriately licensed and motivated, could be sent to alternative healing training sessions. Therapeutic listening, auditory integration training, biofeedback, interactive metronomes, binaural beats or other rhythmic entrainment programs, sacral cranial, massage, reiki, aromatherapy, yoga, meditation, movement therapies, acupressure, reflexology and hypnotherapy might be considered. Most parents I worked with had limited outside resources to address the complex issues related to the disability of their child. Many were on Title 19, which many therapists were unwilling to accept.

Districts could enlist someone from the ASA to serve as an information source for parents concerning diet, enzymes, supplements, chelating procedures, and other myriad other options out there.

Development of supportive environments would help to insure maximum use of resources in urban districts struggling with budget issues. Programs should be placed at sites that can best meet the sensory and motor needs of the children. Schools ideally should have: " Quiet classrooms with natural light and adequate space for sensory equipment." Pools and playground equipment that provided for vestibular input " Proximity to a variety of parks and nature walks " Close access to community facilities allowing for cost-effective and flexible community based programs.

Administrators need to arrange time for teachers, assistants, and parents to consult with the team and implement and refine strategies for continued optimum growth of each student. As teams develop, roles would overlap; sensory problems, movement difficulties, communication, behavioral concerns, and rhythm issues would be addressed in all areas of the curriculum throughout the day.

Teachers, assistants and parents would be more confident in their ability to deal with ongoing complex neurological, sensory and movement difficulties as they continued to consult and collaborate with experts in specific disciplines. Turbulence and stress in students would decrease as they took refuge in the support of a highly trained and confident staff.

A paradigm shift of this magnitude demands that little shifts continue to occur. As information about current practices is disseminated, collaboration increases and team building occurs, current programs would be modified by innovations that improve overall function. What works for one child may have disastrous affects on another, or it may work now and cease to be effective later. If staffers refuse to be complacent, have options, remain flexible, be open to new ideas, take risks, and provide mutual support, procedures will continue to create a flow of progress.
